Where It All Began
Hi, I'm Abigail, and welcome to Abigail Diane Photography.
My passion for photography began at an early age while growing up in London, a city rich in history and remarkable architecture. Surrounded by centuries-old landmarks and inspired by family travels throughout Europe and summers along the French Riviera, I developed a deep appreciation for beautiful landscapes, historic places, and the stories they tell.
As a teenager, I bought my first camera and quickly became fascinated by film photography. Learning to develop my own photographs in the darkroom taught me patience, creativity, and the importance of light and composition, skills that continue to shape my photography today.
My Photography Journey
Over the years, photography became more than a hobby, it became my way of preserving the places and moments that inspired me most. Whether wandering through historic European cities, exploring quiet countryside, or discovering hidden landscapes, I found myself continually searching for the beauty that often goes unnoticed.
Today, I photograph with Nikon equipment, combining the traditional principles I learned through film with modern digital technology. While the equipment has evolved, my approach remains the same: patiently waiting for the right light and the perfect moment to create photographs that feel natural, timeless, and authentic.

After living in several places, I eventually settled in Southern California. Although very different from the historic landscapes of my childhood, I found myself equally captivated by its natural beauty. From dramatic coastlines and golden sunsets to ancient forests, majestic mountains, peaceful deserts, and delicate botanicals, every landscape offers a new opportunity to experience nature's quiet beauty.
